Hi, I'm David! 👋

I’m a user interface and visual designer based in Costa Rica with a track in collaborating with user and customer experience teams implementing usability practices to deliverable and functional creatives for multiple platforms and different channels with the main goal of improving conversion rates and adding brand value.

My first approach is to follow the direction from most common standards like the ones stated from Human Interface Guidelines (Apple), Material Design (Google), Fluent Design (Microsoft), IBM's Carbon Design System, or even visual language from frameworks like Bootstrap. Once having a consolidated interface I try to find where creativity and customization can add benefits to the users. All this, having in mind the Atomic design methodology.

During the last 4 years I've been working at the Kohl's 🛍️ shopping experiences for the app and web channels.

I’m focused on details 🔎 and enjoy finding the answer to something which is perhaps not immediately obvious.

Through the years I had developed a wide experience in multiple areas such as responsive 💻📱 design with accessibility in mind, social media content, prototyping, banner campaigns and image 🎨 🖌️ production.

As a side project, during the last two years, I’ve been learning 3D production as a bridge to eventually start creating VR experiences.
